Studying. 304 textbook is horrid stuff. BUT AT LEAST it's largely content and not equations, theories and formula which I can never understand.
The volcanic ash cloud! If any country has secretly invented a giant vacuum cleaner and it's sitting pretty in your oversized hangar/warehouse/top-secret lab, now's the time to unveil it!
Neck aches. Poring over a book for a whole day doesn't do benefits to your back, I'm sure.
Really bad 'friends' who use me to get through their periods of boredom. Make that ACQUAINTANCES. I don't really see some of them as friends. It is how disgusting and really, I am not psyched at all to see your name flashing. I'm wondering what do you want now? Another attempt at pretending to be a good friend! Oh puhleeeese.
Elderly hands. Now I'm finding fault with my hands. Not that I'm gonna suddenly invest in hand lotions and stuff. Just griping.
People refusing to speak their minds. If you have something to say, say it. Don't keep it to yourself and expect us to be psychic. It's really annoying to have my curiosity piqued then told "I don't want to talk about it." What exactly were you talking about earlier then? If you don't want to talk about things then don't speak of it or lament. DON'T. I'll just tell you to "DON'T talk about it! You know you don't want to."
I can't be expected to be sympathetic to a random sad/emo outburst without knowing exactly what. EVEN if I'm gloating, at least I'll still try to comfort you. I'm a good friend this way.
People being too smart for their own good.
Life's never fair but sometimes you read about things that are just plain unfair and you wonder how nobody has the guts to right a wrong! WHY? WHY?
We need Superman! He won't bat an eyelid at a nuclear missile! And you can hire lawyers to sue him because you're filthy rich but he won't care because well, he's Superman and he can bust out of jail anytime/fly off. And being Clark Kent, probably won't be swayed to write biased articles. (And he can definitely clear a volcanic ash cloud)
Obviously no one is going to admit to landing someone in hospital with serious injuries. EVEN if it were a cut or a bruise, most people wouldn't admit it. AND because of this, the victim's wrong isn't redressed, cannot be redressed. I find it laughable how in one case, a teenager's words can't be taken seriously but in the other, it can and is evidence. There was plenty of outcry over the second incident and 4 days of coverage. The first, who spoke of it? Who spoke out against the eventual decision? Who expressed their sympathy, indignation and mortification that such a thing could happen? It was just swept under the carpet.
I really wonder why.
The halfway mark is so damn far away!
