HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!
Aiight maths was a facsimile of a sham. CT 1 was definitely a fluke! FLUKE FLUKE FLUKE!
This year was much better than last year. For the reason that more people knew it was my birthday haha. We-ell, for some it required a little prodding (little being the understatement of the year since I'm so ahlian).
Lots of thankyous to Lyn, Min, Weitin, Andy, Gina, Gary, Hoon, Jiejun, Roach, Jo, Sally, Krit, Ber, Eling, Irvin, Jess, Pau, Sandy, Mr Sayers, Mr Lee, Karen, Jiang, Pei, Suang, Ting, Ying, Yan, Mr Wong, Wuchean, Celia, Zhen and Dawn and anyone I've missed out.
Of course there are those who would NEVER say anything because we are NOT friends. Never mind, they are very jian anyway. And like Min asked, wo cai bu xi han.
Today's the HFC thing so good luck! Spent like a couple of hours preparing yesterday. For all the mess we made and the random finger cramps, it was all in good fun! However seeing that we are pretty slow and not too efficient, a life in the kitchen is not for me. I've never taken home econs anyway so was initially thinking "What if wo yue bang yue mang?"
Went for lunch with Min and Lyn after school yesterday. Fish and Co. was nice but we really ordered too much. 3 set meals, a bit ambitious, no? In the end, was practically laughing at every single thing, us being us. Min was trying to get the waitperson's attention so she snapped her fingers. Tried because no sound came out. In the end, she had to pretend her hand was just there, so paiseh. Furthermore, when Lyn was trying to get help to take a picture, 2 people just ignored her. The first, just daoly walked away. The second, asked to clear the plates and didn't come back. Yup then they walked me to Jo's flat. We were like, "Which unit is it? Aiight CALL!" (Min suggested shouting JOANN WHERE ARE YOU?) We were like," Do you hear a phone ringing? THERE!"
It's down to Italy vs France at the 2006 World Cup Finals! Awww it's over already? Germany and Portugal crashed out--- so sad! I really think that person is a total jinx. *snarls* Every team he supported, LOST! Can he stop it! Hai ren hai ji! I wonder who he's supporting for the finals. My apologies to the team in advance. Aiight I'll go find out then post the results to confirm my suspicions (that he's a jinx!). VJ's going to screen the finals. Did you actually think the school was so kind, so hao si? It's just to make sure that world cup addicts come to school the next day! I would have missed if not for ms tan's lesson. She is giving back papers aiight! It is NOT SAFE to not be there.
P.S I was being suanned over Germany's defeat by pro-Azzurris. Like, whatever.
SOME people ah. I told you I'm not that simple. I tend to think alot so little actions do register with me. People always think I'm very slow but then, whatever they're thinking and plotting, I can guess it (90% accurate). HAHA. Even when they don't say it, I just think to myself "Pfft who do you think you're fooling here? *rolls eyes*" It's good that you're taking my advice. Good job!
Yes, you guessed right. I am mad about earrings but NO, I disagree that I wear a different one every single day. There are times when I'm just too sleepy to put on any.
I was out with Eling on Sunday to 'celebrate' my birthday. It was this super long kbox session (we had an extension of 1 hour FREE!) probably because we sang too well so they didn't want to chase us away OR the guy tai you li mao le. Kidding la. Eling kept insisting he was goldfishandlipstick but NO he was not. Goldfishandlipstick fired liao la, so sianfaced and cannot speak audibly.
I guess they didn't need the rooms urgently so they evicted the nailsonachalkboard-highpitchedscreeching-catsyeowling people first. Which is the random people around but not us. *shrugs* What can I say? In a move of zilian-ism, we recorded all our duets which I must say (sorry very bhb here!) sounds like SHE. Ok fine, that just means we can harmonise and can carry a tune but that also proves that we can imitate well and fei chang pei he!
Ate at kenny rogers' and I couldn't finish my food AGAIN! Why do they have to serve such large portions? Talked alot and laughed alot, causing others to look at us curiously (maybe with annoyance).
The 2 of us go back a long way (in our hysterical criticising ways). Last time when it was always the 2 of us out together, our mums would always say," IF YOU CAN HELP IT, DON'T KEEP LAUGHING AT PEOPLE. LATER KIAM PA!" We'd be like,"Ok bu hui de!" But we still do anyway, esp at 6677groupies and leons.
Went through a lot of childhood memories then kept criticising this and that. In the end, we came to the conclusion that we're very AUNTY. Bearing that in mind, we proceeded to spend the rest of our day speaking aunty-speak. That means speak in Teochew as much as we could then throw in aunty-ahma phrases. It was a riot! Since we weren't esp proficient, we had to pause to mentally translate before saying something. So many pauses in our conversations and then they started getting really random. Like, when those 6677 basketball-playing (SORRY I know not all of them play basketball and I really don't have anything personally against basketball players but the 6677-wo nan guo clique is still stuck in my mind!) pink-shirt/cap-wearing MVP-wannabes (I don't really have anything against guys who wear pink either) stare, we'd be like "AUNTY YE YAO KAN! XIAN ZAI DE XIAO HAI ZI ZHEN MEI LI MAO!" Translated to, "aunty also want to see! children nowadays are so rude!" I know, we are mad because we started to say things like," so your son is in p5 now right? which school?" and "cannot wash clothes again! at night no sun" so on and so forth.
My sincerest apologies for putting in so much rubbish. Many an impression of me has been ruined by such abovementioned quirks.
We know we're immature but then again, quoting eling, there's a side we show to different people. Perhaps to our parents, we act like we'd never grow up. Away from them, we DO at times show signs of maturity in the way we frown at excesses and extreme vanity. What parents talk among themselves, we overhear and then we discuss. So aunty, I know! They think we have no idea about all these politics but actually we do. To write us off as immature is underestimating us. What I can say is that, we are basically still mischievous with a childlike sense of humor.
I know I'm 18 and going to university next year. There are times when I'm sensible (shocking?) and understanding.
BUT,
If you're daring me to press doorbells and yell ROOM SERVICE in hotels, I will do it.
Hey dearie! happy Birthday again! Hope you liked the cake yesterday =) Had a LOOOONG day today selling the fruit salad! So tiring....sally krit and i stayed till arnd 330-4. we started at 8. bleah. will tell u the whole story later! Happy birthday to you for yesterday! =)
ReplyDeletep.s.: does it feel very different being 18? have you suddenly become diff? yr body suddenly magically changed? anything like that? growing older is overrated...all we get, as my friend put it...is more aches and pains. (*i say this gripping my lower back that aches and my neck which throbs!*)
Yes the cake was good! Thank your mum for me! Thankfully the sales was good so it was a success! No being 18 is just another day. I don't feel like I'm any different, or any more mature for that matter. Hey rest early!
ReplyDeleteNice colors. Keep up the good work. thnx!
