is it me or the recording devices that cannot process 'ooh' sounds etc?

just so you know, my laptop's sound recorder is rubbish.

the clearer quality of i'm yours and bubbly comes from mac using garageband.

i'm using my phone's recording function which can be rubbish depending on its mood.
