works in progress

• i hate this part (pcd), hush hush (pcd), halo (beyonce), mad (neyo) and almost lover (a fine frenzy).
• i'm not totally satisfied with i'm yours. i wrote 'inspired by jenny suk' cuz i had her voice in mind when i did my version but i didn't exactly remember how she sang it. check out her youtube channel HERE
• i can't hear my alto voice for knock you down. i think there's something wrong with garageband...
• i'd like to attempt you and i both (jason mraz) but just like the remedy, it's too fast and i get tongue-tied haha.
• i'll probably go listen to meant to be (melissa polinar) though it didn't make an impression. listen HERE
• fallin' for you seems easy enough. i think colbie caillat's range is quite comfortable.
• already gone (kelly clarkson) is a halo-esque song which i think i might attempt once i learn it.
• keeps getting better - i like it. it has the word 'bitch' in it. it's totally calling out to me =/

• o sole mio. i feel inspired to do an a capella version! yesyes with harmonies (: i'm thinking 3 part voice but i haven't worked out exactly what yet. not the slow version like what we've learnt but faster, perhaps in a swing rhythm? i don't know; i'm musically retarded so i can't express myself well... erm musically. everything's dotted rhythm to me - what ever happened to the word syncopated??? my mep teachers would be devastated. 4 years of the programme and nothing registered... and it's a capella because i wouldn't be able to figure out what to play =/ the existing score is freakin' easy to play. perhaps i could work out something?
• try to remember. it's BORING max. but i'm thinking if i changed the rhythm/tempo whatever, it might sound cheerier? i don't like slow songs. snooooooozzzzze.
• nobody (: in english of course. yes, there IS an english version.
• umbrella (AGAIN). my piano drowns me out completely. you can only hear "you have my heart..." =/

especially those that involve harmonising. i'm quite sucky la but it makes me happy to discover ideas haha.

p.s ling told me she went to SHE's concert yesterday. i suddenly realized that we went for their concert like 2 years ago? it feels just like yesterday. since they've started touring shanghai, i suppose they'll come to singapore soon?

to think of it, who'd go with me? i don't know anyone who's that crazy about SHE.
